Ankh-Morpork is the oldest and largest city on the Disc, with about one million residents. It's main exports are manufactured goods, processed animal and vegetable produce and trouble. It's main imports are people, trouble, more people and more trouble. The city's most popular motto is "Quanti Canicula Ille In Fesnestra," which means "How much is that small dog in the window?" It's origin is the subject of urban legend.
The city is really two cities joined together. Proud Ankh is Turnwise of the River Ankh, and the pestilent city of Morpork is located on the Widdershins bank. Ankh-Morpork is situated on the River Ankh, at the edge of the Sto Plains, near the Circle Sea.
