About Us

The Okanagan area is well known for having one of the largest populations of Peruvian Paso horses in Canada. Located 6 miles North of Armstrong in the picturesque Okanagan Valley, our farm is snuggled up against a steep little mountain, hence the name Little Mountain Peruvians.

We first became involved with Peruvian Pasos in 1981, became owners of our first Peruvian horse in 1984 and purchased our first broodmare in 1986. We have always stayed small breeders of these horses, preferring to breed quality foals rather than large quantities. In 1998, after 17 years of studying, a dream finally came true and Rick is now working exclusively as a trainer of Peruvian Pasos.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to acquire numerous friends in the breed, and many have entrusted their training needs to Rick. With a 60 foot x 120 foot covered arena, training is allowed to continue year round.

Between our clients and Little Mountain Peruvians, we have numerous young horses, geldings and mares of all ages that are available for purchase. We offer free consultations and tours to the various farms for viewing the horses for sale.
