THE FORGOTTEN MINISTRY

In three of the four gospels casting out devils is emphasized. One half of Jesus' ministry involved casting out devils. It is then imperative that believers prepare themselves for the ministry of deliverance. I am not talking about adding the word DELIVERANCE to the name of your church. I am talking about a place where men, women, boys, girls, young and old are set free from the torments of satan Like Jesus in the Gadarenes (Mark 5 vs. 1-19). The demons refused to be silent in His presence. Look at the story, Jesus was going about minding His business when the demons called out to Jesus! Vs. 7 says that the man asked Jesus what do you want from me, don't torment me. There was uneasiness in the presence of Jesus.

Christians and non-Christians alike at times find themselves suffering physical, mental, physiological, and spiritual oppression. In their quest to receive guidance or help they find themselves ensnared into the web of occultism. Behind this door stands the power of darkness. The Word of God forbid mankind any contact or to seek help from any other source other than the God of heaven (Exodus 20 vs. 3-5).

The churches of today have neglected to teach or operate in this ministry for reasons such as fear, doubt, unbelief, and lack of knowledge. There are lots of people who believe that if it is left alone it will go away. We need to remember that the ministry of Jesus the Christ is four-fold. Jesus came to teach, preach, heal and deliver. Jesus came to restore mankind back to God. Deliverance then is one of the ways God uses to bring about restoration. Every born again, Holy Ghost filled believer in Jesus Christ has been given the mandate from heaven to cast out devils (Mark 16 vs.15-18).
