The History of Shammah Ministries
The History of the Shammah Worship Centre is very exciting. In 1997, after much prayer and seeking for guidance from the Lord, Pastor M. Patricia Williamson was directed by the Holy Spirit to establish the ministry of Shammah Worship Centre, and waited for over a year for further direction. Diligently seeking God's divine plan and purpose.
On October 6th 1998, the first service was held at the home of Pastor Williamson. It became apparent to all present that the Holy Spirit was present and was setting His approval on the Ministry. He gave us the name! From that moment on God has shown himself great and mighty to us.
We endeavor as a church to comfort, inspire and equip the Body of Christ. To provide for the physical needs of the community and to provide counseling to those that are hurting.
On Sunday, November 12th, 1998, the first official Sunday morning service was held with eighteen (18) persons in attendance. It was an anointed service and everyone in attendance felt that Jehovah was in the house!!!
On Tuesday July 6th 1999, a service was held to officially release the members and to officially induct the Pastor Reverend Marilynn Patricia Williamson to allow her to operate freely under the anointing of the Lord and to take the ministry where God would have us to go.
The official commissioning ceremonies were conducted by Bishop Neil C. Ellis, DD., J.P., and Regional Bishop of Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Pastor Betty Cleare of the New Life Christian Centre Nassau, Bahamas gave the charge to the minister & congregation.
