Newz 2002
-May 20, 2002- So it's official. I'm leaving in
a couple o' days. No updates fer three weeks. To you, i say "cope"
- umm, i may be abondoning this page. i'm not sure. Angelfire's doing
some strange things, and
i'm not too happy about it. I'll see in a while if anything's gonna get
better. '-_-
- I'm dead convinced there's a ninja in my boyfriends closet...
-StarWars? no hype... i'm surprised. Not bad, better than Phantom Menace.
I, personally, liked it
Reviewers didn't seem to. Hayden Christianson CAN'T ACT. Actually, he
seemed just TOO
lecherous... i didn't buy that amidala would fall in love with him, he
was just tooo creepy.
-I wasn't too keen on spiderman. It was okay, but it was rather predictable.
That's just my feeling on the
matter.
-April 26, 2002- Would people PLEASE be more specific
as to who you are when signing the bookie-lou.
I'm all confused. And what's with the BEANS???
-YAY NINJAS! Go here,
to find out more!
- I was soooo bored last night. Then i met people. I really wanna go drinkin/dancing.
HELP ME!
(I miss my boy!)... at least May first is almost here. I'M DONE SKOOL!
-April 18, 2002- A good friend will bail you out
of jail, but your best friend will be the one sitting next to you saying
"That was
fucking awesome!"
-April 18, 2002- Good god! do i ever need a break,
but that'll be later. I was astounded by the idea that i may actually
have
free time this summer, and that i don't have to feel guilty about hanging
out with friends! I'm astounded.
- Yay! I'm really really really hoping to leave town. I'm looking to go
off and see the nations capital, and mebbe
head down into the states. That'd be *so* good. I haven't travelled in
ages. Hmm, it's good. It looks like it's
gonna be a museum tour YAY!! (I'm such a geek!)
- God I had some absolutely awesome Indian food at the Taj Mahal last
night. I think i'm gonna have to learn
how to make pakora, or i'm gonna go broke at Indian joints.
-oh, and i've moved the guestbook just to encourage people to sign/forumize
in it. I encourage you to make
comments beyond just "nice page"... because I'd like people to be able
to speak to each other about I
dunno, stuff. sound good? if it doesn't work, i'll go crazy mad looking
for ways to create a message board.
Mwahahaha, then you'll be forced to. *gets drunk on own power... wanders
off*
-April 16, 2002- two exams down, four to go :)
-it was my parents' thirtieth wedding anniversary yesterday. I'm in shock
and awe. I think i hate people too
much to be married to anyone that long.
- my father gave me a lecture today about love and commitment. It's ticked
me off soo much i think i'm going
to run off and become a raging feminatzi lesbian people hater. Sounds
like a plan to me :)
-yay! louish has started the forum in the guestbook. Anyone who actually
bothers to read this page should go
and join him... oh and if she doesn't answer, Joules is a friend
i've had sinse elementary school, and you've
met her, louis!
-April 13, 2002- To the depressed person who wants
me to update, please note that i had three essays due last week
AND i have six exams coming up in the next two weeks. BACK OFF, I'll get
around to it. And yeesh,
it hasn't been that long since last i updated. If you want new and interesting
things to read turn the address
book into a forum and get everyone to sign :)
-March 30, 2002- hmm, so i haven't gotten much of
anything done lately, that's why there've been so few updates... I feel
kinda bad about leaving the astro page in the state it's in, but
bear with me.
-meanwhile, The Divine Miss L just had her birthday and there have been
many celebrations to ring in this
occasion... She's feeling old, And so i ask you (without telling you just
what age she's turned) How old is
old? is it 30? 40? 10? 100? When do you say that you are old. Heh, personally
i hold the belief that no one
over thirty should be trusted.
- hmm, it's suddenly occured to me that i've been spending a lot of time
celebrating and not really that much
time doing homework. Oh well, that's what long weekends are for... wait-
was that long weekends are for
celebrating, or long weekends are for doing homework? I'm so confused.
I'm gonna go to the bar now...
-March 17, 2002- Happy St. Patricks day!!! go to
comics.com and read For Better or Worse. I think that about sums up my
feelings on the issue :)
- i got this joke from my friend... for some reason it's funny, and very
scary.
(i'm reading 1984 right now, so i might be reading too much into things)
>President Bush and Colin Powell are sitting in a bar. A guy walks
in
>and asks the barman, "Isn't that Bush and Powell sitting over there?"
>The barman says, "Yep, that's them."
>So the guy walks over and says, "Wow, this is a real honor. What are
>you guys doing in here?"
>Bush says, "We're planning World War III."
>The guy says, "Really? What's going to happen?"
>Bush says, "Well, we're going to kill 140 million Iraqis this time
and
>one bicycle repairman."
>The guy asked, "A bicycle repairman? Why kill a bicycle repairman?"
>Bush turns to Powell, punches him on the shoulder and says, "See,
>smart ass! I told you no one would worry about the 140 million
>Iraqis!"
-March 15, 2002- blech! Tony Blair and George W.
are being concidered for Nobel Peace Prizes. Nobel must be rolling in his
grave...
to find out more and send a letter of protest against this horrific idea

-March 12, 2002- sigghhhh, still no one has signed
my guestbook. I feel so ignored... though i guess that was sorta kinda
the
point :)
- on an unhappy note, it would seem that this is not a good time of year
for relationships... any coments?
stories? strange warts you'd like to talk about? send me a note, and I'll
post it for the world to mock.
-oh yeah, why do we go to school? anybody got a good answer?? yeah, i didn't think so.
- at least i have some new pages up. SCREWBIE! i hope to have more so
stop yer whining.
most appreciated :)
-March 10, 2002- Happy birthday to robyn. . .
-Feb. 26, 2002- i have a cold, so excuse typing
errors. Dammit! i hate it when i have to miss school!!!
-First news, the protest on the 23rd was HUGE. I didn't get out there,
unfrortunately, but, by gar, lots of
people did. YAY!
-next on news, as you may have noticed, i now have a guestbook. <This
can only lead to trouble>.
don't ask me why, i have a cold and my judgement's impared. That's the
only valid excuse i can give.
Honestly, i'd rather have an open message board, but I haven't the HTML
skill, or patience, or other things.
S0, i guess the only thing i can say is use it as a message board, or
don't, or ignore it, or don't. I'm filled with
apathy.
mmmmmmmyep.
-Feb. 17, 2002- There was a great pageant in the
ocean view from my deck today. The HMCS Ottowa is off to help the war
in Afghanistan... though i don't see how, given that it IS a landlocked
country. And WTF are Canadians doing wasting
money sending ships accross the world to fight pseudo wars. Bleeedin heck!
- in lighter newz, for valentine's day (and school too) my boy n I went
off to see this Handel Opera called Julius
Ceasar. Not too bad. The strangest thing was going for salads afterward
and having half the cast sitting in the table
behind us. The two lead males were counter-tenors... sort of like sopranos,
only i think a little higher. It seems to be
all the rage this season. There was just a story on sixty minutes about
some counter tenor who's career was doomed
when he hit puberty, so intead he tried singing like a woman and it worked.
It sounds kind of silly, and it was hard
not laughing at the idea of big tough Ceasar singing really high
pitched. But whatever. To say the least, it wasn't like
any opera I'd seen before, and if you really wanna know why, email me
because i don't feel like ranting about it
anymore.
- one last thing, just so there isn't any confussion: I have a reeeealllly
great, sweet, wonderful boy. I also won't go into
deeper detail about that because i'm sure it'd embarass him :)
-Feb. 13, 2002- Yay, the rally went really well.
The march was huge. Apparently there will be another on the 23rd about
the
bus
cuts. The government decided not to take away senior's bus passes, though.
They finnally realized that senior citizens
have
the highest voter turnout!
-Jan. 18, 2002- BIGGIST NEWZ!!!! Rally in
front of Legislature 2 pm on Feb. 6th. Come if you can. Numbers help. The
liberal
government must take notice that it is real people it's screwing over,
not just numbers! The biggest focus of this rally
is
the removal of tuition freeze on university and colleges in the problems.
This will make paying for school more difficult,
and
it will not improve classroom conditions. SHOW UP, STAND UP, MAKE YOURSELF
HEARD!
-okay, so i'm doing 7 courses
at college now and have NO free time, but i've finnally gotten around
to putting some new
picks
up in the album.
- errrrrr, if you can see amelie...
it is the second movie this year to enter my top ten - the other of course
being lord of the
rings.
yay n stuff. Oh, and for all of you purists, harry potter is good, and
should not be viewed in relation to LOTR.
That's
all i have to say about it. The movie reminded me of Labyrinthe, it's wierd.
-Jan. 15, 2002- Yay! Mare's back in Victoria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Jan. 2, 2002- happy birthday to me
2003
