Even this figure could be greatly reduced. As is evident, most of my expenditure goes towards food puchases. Food, even organic food, is typically grown and transported (sometimes long distances) using fossil-fuel energy. In accordance with a minimal impact philosophy, my next major step has to be growing my own food. This step could also reduce my cost of living to next to nothing.
