Afternoon delight 
a joyful time in our past.
Riding a bike,playing with friends.
Just having fun until daylight ends
A childs time in life never can last.





Afternoon delight reading our bible by candle light.
Down on our knees in prayer way into the night.
Helping our neighbors,sharing the dinner table.
Going to church and thanking God we were able.




Helping the neighbors farm their land.
And in return they gave us a hand.
Sharing our families and friends.
Always having a helping hand to lend.




Afternoon delight joined hearts together.
For neighbors took time to know each other.
A time when sharing God and His word.
Was a everyday thing we heard.





Afternoon delight a much happier time in life.
Everyone helped each other through toil and strife.
Neighbors bent down on knees together in prayer.
And God was the center of the family life shared.
A time of growing together
A time of loving God and each other.
