All by myself a place
I don't like to be.
When I look around
all I can see is me.
All by myself God
often puts me here.
To look at myself
and call Him near.
All by myself just one on one
With God almighty whispering,
My child, remember, My will be done.
All by myself no where to run.
All by myself you've been there.
A place where God can draw us near.
And if we listen we can hear
How much God really cares.
All by myself is a scary place.
Until we see our Saviour’s face.
And He fills us with His grace.
And slows down our labored pace.
All by myself with God above.
Filling me with all His love.
Showing me His perfect will.
As I climb this lonely hill.
All by myself with fear and pain.
My heart and soul completely drained.
God reaches down with His great love,
breaks the chains and sets
me free as a dove.
All by myself a place
I don't like to be.
When I look around
all I can see is me.
But God shows me all by
myself is not a bad place to be.
It's how and where He talks to me.
