Passing in the night 
like two ships on an angry sea.
We toss and turn 
restless as can be.



Our spirit wakes us 
and tells us to pray.
Someone is lost or discouraged 
and needs to find their way.



Passing in the night 
like two ships who 
have lost their way.
We too seem to get lost,
and often stray.



But God is the light 
in our darkest hour.
He keeps us safe in 
His grace and power.



Passing in the night 
like two ships who 
have lost their sight.
But God in all His glory shows 
them His guiding light.



He does the same 
for me and you.
Showing us the way 
with a love that's true.



Passing in the night 
like spirits dancing so bright.
The storms have passed,
the burden is light.



God brought calmness to 
those passing in the night.
Because of Him we have an 
eternal burning light. 
So we don't ever get lost 
while passing through the night.
