Here is the best toy I know of that simulates the movement and form of a bird! It is called Bird on a Stick! Do you see the stick and then a piece of string connected to the stick with a toy attached to the string?

Bird on Stick

This toy is called either Bird on a Stick or Feather on a Stick. But don't worry about the many names this toy may have, learn and appreciate the joys this toy and your human can give you!

Now we are ready. Your human has the toy in hand and the hunting game will begin! So kitties, you need to get into the hunting frame of mind and get ready to leap, jump, paw, run and pounce!!

Your human will take the bird on the stick and start swinging it way over your head - so kitties - go for it - jump as high as you can and try to whack it with your paws. Feel the hunting spirit coming on? Feel that excitement grow!! Now after your humans have had you jumping and pouncing at it, they will start moving it along the floor - so run after it and try to catch it - pounce at it, paw at it, go for it!

Get your humans to become more inventive especially if they want to be more interactive and become part of the hunting sport too! Here is where furniture may be added to the hunt to make it more fun.

While your humans are running around with the bird on the stick, have them move the toy across a chair, or on the couch or even on top of a table. Don't just sit there and watch! Go for it! Run after it - run across the chair, the couch, or jump on the table as you try and catch your prey! Forget you are in the house - forget the toy is a toy and use your imagination and take a second look - it's not a toy! No, it's a bird! Let your hunting instincts take over - get involved with the sport! Yes, bird hunting is a sport and don't be left out in the cold! You too can be bird hunting at home!
