Kitty Camouflage

by Jessie

Hello Kitties !
Welcome to our Kitty Camouflage Class. Today we are going to study the fine art of Camouflage.

There are many forms of Camouflage, you use them in your everyday activities. You may not realize it, but you do. Lets look at just a few

Be A Throw Rug

I am sure that you all have done this, sprawl all over the middle of the floor so your human has to step over you or walk around you. This is the first step in the fine art of camouflage. It is called being a throw rug. How many times have you been steped on while you were imitating the rug? More than once? Then you are in camouflage!

Blend In

This is an important step in Camouflage, learning to blend into your surroundings. This kitty is laying in her bed, not moving, being very quiet, no one will notice that she is in there. Have you ever done that? This is called blending into the background.

I Belong Here

Acting like a throw pillow is another step in developing the art of Camouflage. Have you ever had a human sit on you then jump up with a yelp? If you have, then you are on your way to being a pro

Invisible

This kitty is laying on a black pillow case and a black leather jacket, she is doing this so good, you can hardly tell where the kitty starts and the jacket ends. Now this is camouflage at it's finest. Have you ever blended so well with the background that you became invisible?

Visible

This is an example of what not to do. The white kitty is laying on a black shirt. If you notice the kitty on the right is still laying on the black pillow, but you can't see her, she is not visible, she is camouflaged.

Example of Camouflage

You have to look close, but there she is, the black kitty on the black jacket, laying next to the white kitty. Which one do you think will pass this class?

I hope you took notes kitties, because the exam is next
