From the very instant we're born
A path for life begins to form
we begin to learn and grow
and see the love that others show



We learn how to set,crawl and walk
and pretty soon we are able to talk
we learn that toys are a way to play
and we rest when in our beds we lay



As we get older we go to school
and begin meeting friends its cool
we learn math and how to read
the teachers begin to plant a seed



we learn about games like softball
and flying a kite by not letting it fall
we learn we have talents all our own
and the seeds the teacher began are now being sown



we learn we are special in our own way
the importance are on what we do and say
we see the beauty in the world 
and how to obey what are parents say



we've grown so much that the day  
is here when we decide our lifes pathway
we're on our own all alone
and in our life we begin to roam



Then we learn that Jesus 
loves us with all His heart
and we ask Him to take charge of our life
and a new pathway to life we start.
