It Can See

I’m losing my mind,
While trying to stay sane.
My mind can be so unkind,
Giving me so much pain.

I just want to go back
To when everything was mundane,
This darkness I would lack,
Happiness I would not have to feign.

Madness creeps up to me,
I turn and look away-
But still it will see,
That I am prey.

And thus I lose the control,
That I’ve fought so hard for,
It all goes down the hole-
I don’t think I can take it anymore.

What am I supposed to do,
With a mind lost in the dark,
And my sight shattered too,
And in the ruin, lies my heart.

I’m too broken to fix,
I’m too tired to keep going,
Madness has made its pick-
And looks at me knowing,

Knowing its finally got me.
Through all the fight I gave,
It just looks and sees
That I’m no longer as brave.
