Chi-kung
Chi-kung is the most intenal form in the Wushu system taught at the School
of Ten Thousand Dragons. Through limited physical movement and deep
breathing exercises coupled with intense concentration, the "chi" or inner
energy can be channeled throughout the body. While realizing "chi" can be an
individual, time intensive process, the preparatory exercises are beneficial
not only to the circulatory system but aid in the development of main muscle
groups.
Application of chi-kung is as individual as the learning process - kung-fu
practitioners utilize the principles of chi-kung to make their blows more
powerful and direct, while the same principles can. also be used in healing
applications.
