Back on 11.21.08, I hinted at a new project that member Allen T. was working on...
Well, here it is!
I (Paul W.) had the privilege of rebuilding/restoring the motor, and I'm glad to see that my work didn't cost Allen any points!
Okay, it's not a Cat, but it did turn out nice. So nice, in fact, that Allen sent me this note:
"Paul - here are some pictures of the completed Starcraft. I took 2nd place at the VSCA National show even though it scored a perfect 100 out of 100. The judge (who I know) told me he gave me second because mine was over restored! I guess I did too good a job! It was also in the running for the National Championship but lost. Thanks again for all your help.
Allen "
Allen's newest project IS a Cat (a rare one) and I'll post pics when it is completed.

Member Ken R. (NY) would like some help from the membership:
"Paul, could you run a request on the AccA web site for me? I've been tracking 1963 Arctic Cats and compiling the production numbers and the model type. I have around 72 sleds now, but I know there are more out there. From what I've found, the oldest Cat info that I have is production number 46 which is a model 450. The next oldest is production number 49, again it's a model 450. Since there are no production numbers available from Arctic Cat, I thought this would be interesting info for Cat owners. I would also like to start the same thing for the 1962 and 1964 sleds."
That's a great idea, Ken. If any of you would like to help out, please contact Ken with your info.

Also, would any other members like to start a registry for any of the other years? If so, just let me (Paul W.) know and I'll get your info up asap!
