Philadelphia Phantoms Update 1

by Kevin Neibauer

SERGEI KLINENTIEV- Turning out to be the Phantoms best defensemen, has NH: speed and quickness. He takes chances offensively, but is quick enough to get back and not get caught up ice. Excellent play-maker, soft-hands, favors a very strong wrist shot from the point. His accuaracy is very good.

RYAN DAST- has finally been dealt to the Phantoms for draft pick. Bast was injured in his final game with St.John and has yet to play for Philadelphia.

STEVE MCLAREN- has quickly established himself as a heavy-weight fighter in the AHL. In Friday's game versus Hershey, he was rocked on the first punch by SCOTT PARKER. Parker broke McLaren's nose, but McLaren not only continued to fight, but won a decision over Parker.

FRANCIS BELANGER- will be re-assigned when Bast is healthy, played Friday against Hershey and played very well. Belanger scored a goal, and had a one-sided fight go his way.

FRANK BIALOWAS- is injured and his return has not been pinpointed. May be gone for the season.

BRIAN BOUCHER- has begun to establish himself as a quality goaltender. Has looked very impressive thus far.
