Hello to all visitors to the Meeting Place! You are welcome to use "your" chat room any time, 24 hours a day. The room is not moderated, so please remember to treat others with respect, as you would like to be treated.

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the chat room features by clicking on the FAQ button (upper right of screen). This will give instructions on how to change font size, color, etc. as well as other info. Example: Type '*chat' in the text box (where you type to send messages) to get a help on how to change fonts and colors for your window.

The chat room features an "ignore" button, so, if someone enters the room with whom you do not wish to chat, simply "ignore" them. Check the 'ignore user' check box and highlight the user and then any message sent by the user will not be displayed on your screen. If you like using commands you can use *ignore add username. Its as if that annoying user just went away! Wish it worked in real rooms too right?

To send a private message to someone in the room: Check the 'private chat' check box and highlight the user and then any message typed is sent only to that user with a [PRIVATE your_name] in front of it so he know who sent it and that it is private.

If you don't have a Java enabled browser, you will not be able to use the chat room. (If you don't have a Java enabled browser, the box below will just be a gray rectangle)
