En Route -Depart the USA via overnight flight
to Athens, Greece |
| Day 2:SAT |
Athens -Arrive at Athens airport, where you'll
be met by representatives and escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day
at leisure. |
| Day 3:SUN |
Athens -Half-day morning city tour includes highlights
of Athens and an extended visit to the Acropolis, site of the famed Parthenon
and the Acropolis Museum. |
| Day 4:MON |
Nauplion -Begin your Classical Tour to Argolis,
via the Bay of Salamis and the Corinth Canal. Next stop is Mycenae to visit
the Lion Gate and Beehive Tombs of King Agamemnon. Proceed to Epidaurus,
site of the world renowned amphitheater with its phenomenal acoustics.

| Day 5:TUE |
Olympia -Morning drive through the Central Peloponnese,
and Arcadia to Olympia, site of the first Olympic Games. Visit the impmressive
Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera and the museum, site of Greece's greatest
classical sculpture of all time, "Hermes" by Praxiteles. Overnight in Olympia. |
| Day 6:WED |
Delphi -Leisurely drive to Patras, the Capital
of Peloponnese. At Rion, board the ferry to Antirion. Arrive in Delphi
and visit the Castalia Spring and Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. Overnight
in Delphi. |
| Day 7:THU |
Delphi/Athens -Morning visit to the Sanctuary
of Apollo Pythios, home of the "Oracle" and the Museum with the famous
"Charioteer." Afternoon visit to the Byzantine Monastery of Ossios Loukas
on the slopes of Mount Helicon. Arrive in Athens early in the evening via
the villages of Levadia the Thebes. |
| Day 8:FRI |
Cruising/Mykonos -This morning you will be transferred
to the port of Piraeus for embarkation on your cruise ship. Sail to the
island of Mykonos with its jet-set atmosphere and whitewashed buildings. |
| Day 9:SAT |
Rhodes -Full day on the Island of Roses, site
of the Colossus of Rhodes. Visit the Temple of Athena on the majestic Acropolis
of Lindos (optional). |
| Day10:SUN |
Kusadasi/Patmos -Morning arrival in Kusadasi,
Turkey. Wander through the famous bazaars or tour Ephesus (optional). Continue
to the island of Patmos and the Monastery of St. John the Divine, who received
the Revelation here that forms the Last Book of the New Testament. |
| Day 11:MON |
Departure -Morning arrival into the port of Piraeus.
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to
the USA. |
