Message Pad is a shareware program that banishes the need for paper diaries, notebooks and sticky notes. It can also act as a reminder program, a jotter, an alarm clock, an automated file/program launcher and a calendar.

Its most basic function is as a static reminder window - a display screen that can be positioned on the top of the desktop. You can type any text whatsoever and it will be kept by the window until you modify it or remove it. The program can be set to automatically load and pop up when Windows starts up.

Message Pad also has the ability to assign text to icons that sit in the Message Pad window. These text items can be displayed on top of the desktop or other windows, like sticky notes.

In addition, Message Pad has two powerful features that allow you to be automatically reminded of events. The first of these is Event Schedule Setup (shown below): set up the Message Pad reminder window to pop up or automatically load a file or program at any time and date in the future.

The second feature is Recurring Message Setup, which sets up the Message Pad text window to pop up at regular intervals, e.g. every 30 or 60 minutes.
