It will overwrites executable files and then spams itself out via Outlook or MIRC as an attachment

It displays a moving stars-in-space graphics, It will stop when any key is pressed. It will searches for executable files in all the installed drives and infect them by replacing or overwriting the host files with the its code without changing the host files' attribute after infection.

It will put IROK.EXE, which is the mother virus, in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and IROKRUN.VBS in the Startup folder. Then on the next Windows startup this vbs file is executed, sending not more than 60 emails from the address list in the users MS Outlook address book with IROK.EXE attached. Each sent email contains a subject "I though you might like to see this", and body "I thought you might like this. I got it from paramount pictures website. It's a startrek screen saver", and the attached virus.

IROKRUN.VBS erases itself from the Startup folder after execution. It also spread through MIRC by modifying its script.ini, by adding a command to DCC and send the IROK.EXE file to everyone in the channel where the IRC user logs in.

It also uses a copy protection trick, and renames all files and directories to high ASCII character. No files are deleted nor corrupted.
