The Lindsay Chamber of Commerce invites you to our community
which was once descirbed by General John C. Fremont, in his report to the
U.S. Government in 1849, as the "Garden of Eden". Fremont said, "If there is a
garden of Eden in the Western Hemisphere, it is in the Washita Valley," this
valley being the third most fertile valley in the world. Come visit our town,
meet our people and revel in the quality of life that has become our heritage.
