Lindsay is home to many elderly people. There are several transportation, housing and nutrition services available for them.
Grace Living Center, located on the west side of Lindsay is close to Lindsay Municipal Hospital - which is now closed, is home to many of our residents who can no longer live in their own home and take care of themselves. It is an excellent long term care facility and has a wonderful staff and volunteers.

Lindsay Place Apartments, located on the west side of Lindsay close to Lindsay Municipal Hospital. This complex consists of apartments that are available for the elderly that no longer wish to live by themselves, but do not wish to go to a nursing home.

The Southern Oklahoma Nutrition Program has a nutrition site located at Southwest 4th and Choctaw Streets. It feeds around 120 - 160 people a day through dine in or homebound. The center offers entertainment and a chance for the seniors to socialize with other people on a daily basis. They serve meals Monday through Friday.

There are several transportation options available for the senior citizens to utilize. One of these is the City of Lindsay Courtesy Bus which runs from 9:00 to 1:00 each day for the elderly only. You can contact the Lindsay Public Library at 405-756-3449 for more information.
Delta Community Action also has a Public Transit Bus available for every citizen in town. Their hours are from 8:00 until 5:00 Monday through Friday. There is a small charge for riding or there are passes available for citizens that have been donated by local Civic Groups for those with low income to ride the bus.
