Such as the Following Five Texas State Laws
Specifically:
Article 45.55 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure allows the use of Teen Courts for the dismissal of misdemeanor charges on completion of Teen Court Program.
Section 54.032 of the Texas Family Code allows the use of Teen Courts for the deferral of adjudication and dismissal of certain cases on completion of Teen Court Program.
In Addition
Section 54.021 of the Texas Family Code allows the use of Teen Court in Truancy cases.
Section 52.03 of the Texas Family Code allows Disposition of a Juvenile case without referral to juvenile court and may involve referral to the District Teen Court Program.
Article 42.12 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures allows the use of Teen Courts under conditions of probation and deferred adjudication
In Addition
The District Teen Court Program also accepts direct referrals from other agencies, school districts, parents and other agencies.
The District Teen Court Program can also be used as a Community Service Site in appropriate cases.
