By the time I found out I was diabetic, I had already lost nerve
sensation (neuropathy) in both feet. When I stepped on sharp screws twice, once in
each foot, the screws penetrated my shoes and I walked on them all
day not knowing. I ended up in the hospital for a combined total of 28
days. I had sustained very serious foot infections and was facing
"amputation or worse" as my doctor termed it. He said "You had better
find a way to protect your feet".
After a long search I found the manufacturer of the puncture proof insoles
and they wouldn't sell to private individuals. So I had to become a distributor
to purchase them.
For want of a $19.95 pair of puncture proof insoles, I came close to
amputation or death twice, and the hospital costs were astronomical.
That is how I ended up in this business. I want to let all diabetics and
others exposed to foot hazards know that there is reliable, inexpensive,
comfortable foot protection available!
