Prevention Foot Safety Insoles Can be Useful for Anyone Subject to Foot Injury or to Increase Comfort When Working on Hard Surfaces! A reliable source told me that a sneaker company reported 40,000 punctures from KIDS and joggers.
My name is C.B. age 51 type 1 I am a subscriber to both the Lehigh and World Diabetic lists. I am 51 and apparently have Type 1 DM that was diagnosed after I went into DKA coma early this year aged 51.(that is 51) Any way I was most interested in your insoles, not only for DM but also for construction workers. I live and work in Hong Kong in the construction industry. Although there are regulations concerning safety footwear they are not enforced. The cost of safety boots is prohibitive for the workers themselves and also during the hot weather, which is more often than not, they do not wear them anyway. Your insoles would seem to solve the problem as being relatively inexpensive and 'transferable' to other footwear. I am also the newsletter editor of the Journal of the Lighthouse Club. This is the only registered charity in Hong Kong specifically for the construction industry. We offer financial support to the injured worker or, the case of death, to his family. My immediate thought is to have the Lighthouse Club sell these. I look forward to your reply. Thanks Cliff in Hong Kong
PREVENTION FOOT SAFETY INSOLES Diabetics must be careful with their feet. A slight injury can lead to many months of pain, inconvenience and might even lead to amputation. There are many times when products offered to the diabetic community don't live up to their claims or seem to be offered for the purpose of making a "quick buck". This does NOT seem to be the case with Prevention Foot Safety Insoles. The insoles are sold by The price of the insoles are $19.95 a pair shipped USA). Comparable insoles have been sold for $30.00.
*Important Tip! If you have neuropathy in your feet ALWAYS wear white socks. That way you'll be able to tell if your feet are bleeding.
(Excerpted From The Diabetic List) Many's the neuropathic diabetic who's first clue to a foot wound was his or her red footprints. Insoles arrived about 2 or 3 days ago and I have an initial report. 1: Cut and fit. Never before have I had insoles that I did not have to trim First time for everything ... They fit perfectly in my size 12's 2: Comfort, Please note that I cheated. I have a pair of Dr. Scholes that were already trimmed to fit so I put them on top of yours. Still did not notice any difference worth comment. 3: Flexability (A concern with a METAL insole) No noticeable change in the flexing of the shoe. 4: Lifetime ... Far, Far too soon to comment. 5: Level of protection Haven't tested it yet and really don't wish to (However sure that sooner or later I will.. By accident (Why I bought them) 6: Doctor's comment (Foot doc, yesterday) he says similar ones sell for $30.00 and that these looked good to him..
Time will tell if I got a bargain... However I'd love to have the first sign that
I've stepped on a board with a nail being the sound of my WOODEN footsteps as the
board follows my foot.

Good morning B.,
We got two pair, one for me and one for him.
Mine have a different padding, not as tough as his but not bad. The size 7
fits exactly in my 8 1/2 wide shoe.
They are quite comfortable. It took a little getting used to my shoe being
stiffer, but the difference in feel is very good. I do feel much more
secure as I walk. The stiffer shoe is more stable, and with my numb foot I
need that.

Hi Belv,
Lynn, from the list. I got the mate to the insole you are still looking
for. Hubby is wearing it right now- my foot isn't that big. And he really likes
it and said we will be ordering some. His foot was hurting him, and when he
put the insole in he said it was much better. He likes the idea of it being
puncture-proof, though we haven't tested that part. I thought of letting my
son experiment with a nail, but I *assume* a company that advertises
puncture-proof has done a few tests first.
Do I worry about punctures? You bet I do. I have significant nerve damage
without the diabetes, and my right foot has been mostly numb for 19 years.
I think I surfed over to this site the first time he posted it, even before
you started talking to him about them.

Hi all,
I got the other sample Insole John August sent out. Here is my one and only
post on it OK? I am in no way asociated with it or him- never met him, no
$$ involved, etc. I got it because I was one of the first to write him and
ask for more details.
I have been interested in foot protection for 19 years - long before I
developed my Type 2. I have other nerve damage, and my right foot has been
mostly numb since 1978.
The insole is smooth, has a hard surface to protect the foam but is padded.
This foam won't wear off or get torn up very quickly. It has a nice arch
(very important).
The one he sent is men's size 9. Too big for my foot
Hubby loves the insert- says it helped a lot. His foot not only was
comfortable, it feels better. He wanted to know how much they cost and was
pleased. He is really enthusiastic! So we will be ordering some.

Dear John August,
Just wanted to let you know that I finally started using the insoles that
I ordered from you. They are Wonderful! I can now go for walks without the little rocks
hurting my feet! I'm sorry I lost out on a couple of months of good
walking because I wasn't using them.
Thank you again, I have told many others about the insoles. I don't
know if they have ordered them or not, but felt others should know, too.
