CONFERENCES The Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Institute is interested in partnering with organizations in the Rocky Mountain Region to host conferences, workshops and other training.
The Institute has presented workshops and the Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Conference. These experiences are open for anyone working in the fields of crisis intervention, mental health, traumatic stress, emergency services and disaster mental health. A variety of classes are presented by instructors associated with the Institute. Registrants have the opportunity to attend workshops, earn Continuing Education, network with other practitioners and professionals from around the Rocky Mountain Region and the country, discuss issues with faculty and staff, and receive training that fulfills the requirements for programs such as the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) Certificate of Specialized Training Program. Other certified courses are offered by instructors who are associated with different certifying organizations. The Institute is currently pursuing certifications of its own workshops in the areas of Disaster Mental Health and Trauma.
