SUZANNA ROSE, Ph.D., MA, RN

Suzanna Rose has had a somewhat unusual career path. She originally trained as a Public Health nurse and then worked for six years as a disaster planner for both the British and International Red Cross. After her psychotherapy training she worked in various traumatic stress services and now heads a state funded Traumatic Stress Service in Berkshire UK as well as having a small private practice. Her psychotherapeutic approach is a cognitive behavioural one. She obtained her PhD in 1999 at the University of London. She is a Fellow of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, member of the European Society of Traumatic Stress Studies and its UK Trauma Research Group. In the last five years she has published papers in more than twenty peer-reviewed journals and she has spoken at conferences in many parts of the world. In her spare time she in is leader of the volunteers for Berkshire Branch of the British Red Cross, enjoys her family life and continues to have a penchant for good red wine and high heels!

Suzanna Rose PhD, MA, RN is Project Leader of Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust, UK. She also works in private practice.
