Welcome To My Skateboarding Page

Skateboarding Tips and Tricks

Hello and thanks for stopping into my skateboarding page.

My name is Chris Rushton and I am living in Calgary Alberta, Canada. My web page is under major construction, as I have alot of stuff to add to it. What bothers me the most is that everyone makes skateboarding out to be a crime instead of the sport that it is. Another thing is, we should not get fined for something we like to do. If you're ever in Calgary some good places to skate are City Hall, Board of Education, Petro-Canada Building, James Short Parkade, Eu Claire Pool, Riley Pool and Olympic plaza.

  1. Here I am fooling around with the skateboard.
  2. This is my friend Rob who is really good. He is ollieing over a bench.
  3. And another great photo.
  4. And another great photo.
  5. And last but not least one more.

Since I'm new to the web page creation thing my page will slowly get better but for now I will have a few pictures of my friends and myself and some trick tips. Have fun reading my page and enjoy. Hey all you skateboarders, how about sending me some e-mail.

Half-Cab Kick Flip

First you need to learn kick-flips and half-cabs, AND you must be able to land them pretty well.

Going a speed that you feel comfortable with, ride along fakie, bend your knees and start to fakie Ollie.

Start to turn your body back side.

Start the flip about halfway through the back side turn.

Catch your board as soon as it is under your feet.

Turn until you've rotated 180 degrees.

Land it smooth and ride away.

.

Front side 50-50

Come up to the ledge, curb, rail, at a bit of an angle.

 Ollie as high as needed

Land with both trucks on the ledge. Your front foot should be over the front truck and your back foot should be between the back trunk and the tail. Don't lean to far forward or two far backwards.

Once you have grinded as far as you can, put pressure on the tail, lift the nose slightly and drop off.

Make sure you land with your knees bent.
