FOR PERSONAL ATTENTION:
Dr. N C Dlamini Zuma
Honourable Minister of Health
Pretoria 0001
31 JANUARY, 1998
Dear Dr. Zuma
I trust that you are well.
As you are aware, we have been locked in a dispute with the MCC for many years now, first in my personal plight, and more recently for the smaller underdog, under the PHARMAPACT banner. In the past you have expressed concern, but every time you passed the matter on to Dr. Shisana, who alas has no real understanding of the fundamental issues involved, and always takes what is for her the easy way out, which is to side with the authorities, irrespective of the excellent merits of our case.
We have championed your reforms twice at the parliamentary hearings, against the MCC, who along with the pharmaceutical lobby and opposition parties sided viciously against your position.
We humbly urge you please to personally read the accompanying report, and take whatever action is necessary to put these criminals and enemy of the people away where they can do no more harm.
As always, we are at your disposal to further this noble cause.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Thomson
