The '79 concerts: Peter sang different lyrics from the PH7 finished version; and in March Faculty X was preceded by Graham Smith's instrumental "Condor".

Faculty X (Pre pH7) America Feb/March 1979:

"Reading Maslow, Ouspensky and similar tracts...
Draining the elixir to the dregs;
Active yeast in the bottom is on the attack,
and it leaves me without any legs to stand on."

Changed to:

"Reading seers, sages, prophets,
obscurantist tracts.
Draining the elixir to the dregs;
Active yeast in the bottom is on the attack,
and it leaves me without any legs to stand on."

Abraham Maslow ..... Peter D. Ouspensky

................

And the original ending sung in concert from February and March:

"I pluck all these characters out of thin air.
I push them down into the lungs.
I infuse them with meaning as much as I dare.
Still it's fuel for the compost heap, where things grow."

Changed to:

"I pluck all these characters out of thin air
I push them down into the lungs.
I infuse them with meaning as much as I dare.
Stretch out for the shoreline and wait, for the wave...."

Peter's album notes for ph 7 mention writer Colin Wilson and "Faculty X"

Colin Wilson:

“Faculty X: "The odd ability to suddenly grasp the reality of some other time or place."
