The
early years for the three White sisters, Margaret, Jean and Ann,
centred around Springdale St. in hilly St.
John's,
Newfoundland very near their Knight grandparents, Annie (Ayre) &
Edwin
John Knight. Edwin John their grandfather was the namesake uncle
of the noted Canadian poet, E J Pratt.
The family soon moved to a
larger home
on
26 Leslie Street and welcomed three additional family members Ronald,
Arthur
and Barbara.
This
set of images follows life of the eldest of the
family
- Margaret Lena White (1910-1999), who in 1939 married Jack Fred
William
Brittain
(1907-2001).
