Student Honours For Hants

1930

Lewis A. Hennigar, of Noel, Hants County, is the winner of the 1930 medal of  the governor-general, it was announced by President Patterson at the convocation of Acadia. This medal is awarded to the member of the graduation class, who has made the highest average upon the work of the sophomore, junior and senior year combined. Other awards included the W. B. Bishop gold medal for the highest standing in practical courses in Economics to John Redford Scott.  Young Scott, who was the Valedictorian of the graduating class this year is the son of John A. and Mrs. Scott of St. Croix,  Hants County.

In addition to the Bishop medal John Scott received the Superior First Rank Diploma.

Other Hants County boys in the graduating class this year are George W. Keddy, Arts; Grant Goudge, Engineering; Hubert Harvey Miller, Arts, Windsor; Ezra Churchill Parsons, Walton, Degree of Bachelor of Science and Certificate in Engineering; Earl Boyce Spence and Graydon Dill, Engineering, St. Croix.
