George A. Scott was
born in Pugwash, Nova Scotia but raised in Dorchester Mass.
He was one of four children in the family of Abigail and Daniel
DeWolf
Scott.
Lilla Abbot his first wife and mother of
their two children died at
the age of 49. He eventually remarried
Fay Farrar. They enjoyed travel and the family made summer
visits from their home in Massachusetts to Nova Scotia. The
visit in 1925 was document with a family group photo showing
George and Fay with Georges's 1st cousins John Albert Scott with
his wife Lillian, and Alice Scott who resided on the family farm
(Elm Farm) with her brother's family. The two sons of John are
in the foreground: John Redford "Jack" Scott, and Frederick
Scott.
The original photographic portrait at top right of George A. Scott
is part of Nettie
(Little) Poorman's collection. Nettie is the granddaughter
of George A. Scott.
