Dorothy Mae Scott (1889-1961) was the daughter of of George and Lilla Scott. Her father George A. Scott was born in Pugwash, Nova Scotia but raised in Dorchester Mass. as one of four children in the family of Abigail and Daniel DeWolf Scott. Lilla Abbot, her mother died at the age of 49. Her father eventually remarried Fay Farrar.

Dorothy Mae Scott Dorothy's mother, Lilla grew up with exposure to the hospitality industry - her parents operated seasonal hotels in North Carolina and on Martha's Vinyard. The Dorothy's parents also enjoyed travelling with their children.  Dorothy and her brother Ernest made regular summer visits to Nova Scotia with their parents until about 1919. Dorothy married Wilson A. Little and had a family of eight children - three girls and five boys. The family lived in Elyria, Ohio.





  The photograph of the Dorothy and her father in Tampa is from Nettie (Little) Poorman in Florida. Nettie is the daughter of Dorothy Mae Scott.
