A family Ambrotype, located in 2001 shows a group which could be one of two related families who both had two girls followed by a boy, and lived near each other during the 1850 -1860's.
If this was family 1 it would have been taken in 1861 when Ambrotypes were still being produced and the individuals would be the following ages:
Father 36
Mother 34
First daughter 4
Second daughter 2
Son 1
If this was family
2 it would have been taken in 1854 when Ambrotypes was a new process (discovered
in 1852) and the individuals would be the following ages
Father - age unknown
Mother 31
First daughter 6
Second daughter 5
Son 1
As there are similarities in the two families the question seems
to relate to ages of the children.
Are the girls age 4 and 2 (family 1) or are they age 6 and 5 (family 2) ?
