Mabel Forester Scott was the third of a family of six children in Castle Shannon, a suburban area of Pittsburgh, Penn.  Born in 1877, her parents were William T. Scott and Eava Josephine Lowry. At the age of 21 she married Frank Speer Brunt settling in Crafton, Pennsylvania, where they lived at 1 Lawson Ave. Together they had a family of three children and nine grandchildren.
