Theres lots of things to know about stamp collecting. Where do I start. Well I'll start with the questions I am asked most. What should I collect? You should collect what ever interests you. Theres no rule that says you have to collect a special type of stamp.Interested in sports? collect stamps that have to do with sports. Trains, planes, ships or cars? Maybe a country interests you. Maybe your family is German then collect stamps only from Germany. You collect what YOU want to collect. I don't have lots of money can I still collect stamps? Sure : start out collecting US stamps. Have all your friends save you stamps from their letters. Or go to the post office ever few weeks and buy the newest stamps... What should I collect singles? plate blocks? sheets? Again collect what you like, singles cost less than plate blocks and plate blocks cost less than sheets. If money is no problem then collect them all, hay its your collection I want to try and make money collecting stamps, what stamps should I buy now that I can sell for lots of money later? Good luck ...Most people never make lots of money selling their stamps. Now that your collecting stamps, you never know.
