1.The Final Bird Saying" Good - Bye"

On September 4th,1997 at 7:35p.m. the last rear-wheel-drive Thunderbird, Laser-red in color was driven off the assembly-line of the Lorain plant.It was driven by Billy Jones,a 72 year old retired Lorain plant employee. Ford said the Laser-red 'Bird will be donated to one of the several Classic T-bird Clubs in the country.FoMoCo halted the production of the rear wheel drive Thunderbird which has been around since 1955.
