When darkness enters someone's life,
it's hard to find the light...
the heart is filled with such despair,
and nothing feels quite right.

Yes, God still cares so much for you
and he won't leave you alone...
broken dreams and wounded souls
draw us closer to His throne.

And in the midst of loss and pain,
God grieves along with you...
it hurts Him when His children cry,
but His love will see you through.

Every burden that we face
is for reasons we can't see...
but trust God's heart to bring you peace
and work His way in there.

We're one step closer to heaven,
next to someone near to death...
as they make their last transition,
and breathe their last warm breath.

You can almost touch God's Spirit,
as He calls them home to Him...
as their souls ascends to heaven,
it is God, who carries them.

Fear not, their dying moment,
but guide them toward the light...
release them to the Father,
and His heavenly home so bright.

As they make their final journey,
their soul begins to rise...
for a moment, you've touched heaven,
and helped a friend find paradise.
