Kiss 'N' Tell
July 7, 2000

You keep asking about my dating life and that's like asking about rainfall in the Sahara: What little there is evaporates before it hits the ground. I totally agree with you that girls should be kicking down my door. It is astounding, amazing and baffling to even the best detectives that my door stands undamaged with nary a dent caused by female feet.

Perhaps they're scared off by excessive verbiage.

An old friend of mine in Virginia often says similar "You'll be quite a catch" sort of things. She hasn't used the word "stud" (greatly appreciated) but the gist is the same. Perhaps if you all keep saying those kind words about my apparent appeal I'll start to believe them.

It is much easier for me to to talk to my female friends (especially ones who are already married) than girls I take a romantic liking to because I'm not trying so hard to impress you. I mean, I want you to like me and all but I'm not trying get you to like me in "that" way.

But I'm working on it and as soon as good news happens, you'll hear about it. I guess I'm saying I'll kiss and tell. But not too much.

See you.

John
