Remembering Owen

Owen made his WWF debut at Wrestlemania 7 as the Blue Blazer. He used many high flying moves and an erray of technical moves in a style which would eventually be ahead of its time. He worked his way up the WWF ladder forming a few championship caliber tag teams before turning his back on his whole family at the Survivor Series. Owen began a classic feud with his brother Bret. It was the type of feud only two legends would be able to put. The two would collide at Wrestlemania 10 in the opening match of the huge card. Owen vs Bret. Brother vs Brother. Legend vs Legend.

In a terrific match, Owen beat his own brother in the opening match of WM 10 from Madison Square Garden. They put on a great match that will always be remembered. The rematch occured at Summerslam inside of a steel cage. Bret was WWF Champion and Owen was the current King of the Ring. In another great match, Bret ousted his brother to keep his championship.

Owen rebounded from his loss to Bret by becoming a tag team champion with Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 11. With this win, he got his career going again. Him and Yokozuna kept the titles for awhile before losing them. Yokozuna was out of the picture and once again Owen needed help. Owen reunited with his brother Bret and formed The Hart Foundation with Bret, Jim Neidhart, The British Bulldog and the late Brian Pillman. Owen became an Intercontinental and European champion while with the Hart Foundation. Once again, Owens career fell back down after Bret left the WWF after the famous doublecross at Survivor Series and The British Bulldog and Jim Niedhart followed him to World Championship Wrestling.

Owen picked his career up again by joining The Nation. That did not last long as he left The Nation to join with Jeff Jarret and Debra. He to start using his Blue Blazer gimmick again after many years. He developed many feuds with this gimmick and started one with The Godfather. He was scheduled to meet the Godfather at Over The Edge. That would not happen because of the tradgic night.

Owen went into the show preparing to win the Intercontinental title from the Godfather. He was attempting to make a super-hero like entrance by flying down from the cieling with the use of cords. Unfortunately, something went terribly wrong and Owen fell 50 feet to the ring and hit his head off of the rings turnbuckle. Paramedics rushed to the ring and gave him CPR. It was too late and Owen was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Owen Hart died way before his time. He was only 33 years old and the best of his career was ahead of his. The WWF respected the situation enough to keep the cameras away from the ring. Jim Ross made the announcement of Owen's passing at roughly 9:40 PM. Owen Hart will be remembered for his great wrestling skills and his charasmatic personality. We will miss Owen Hart and he will always be in our hearts for the truely great person he was. Owen Hart's memory will never die.
