The Wamphryie do not hail from a land that most of you would be familar with...there is a place...in a parallel dimension called Starside and Sunside. Wamphryie are as different from your vampires as Starside is from Sunside. Wamphryie are made from a parasite that inhabits us. Wamphryie are not indestructable however due to the regenerative and restorative powers of the leach like creatures that dwell within us....to mere mortals we appear that way.
All of us...~gentle smile at the memory~ we human at some point in the past. We once ran in the sunlight, knew the love of family and friends who if they were still alive would shun us or try to take our life. Me, I was a young girl that traveled with my band, played in the sunlight unaware of the fate that lay ahead of me...captured in a raid and taken to My Lord. I served him well...I became his favorite in a short time. Hence his time came and his death was upon him....his leach in it's dying agonies produced a single egg. This egg, seeking the strongest possible host...choose me. I then became ~Lady Karen of the Wamphryie...Sole ruler of Wraithstack...creater of my beasts...and mother to all that inhabit my home.
I am sure you have noticed my home is in slight disrepair...~shaking my head and motioning around us with my pale hand~. I am a bit different than many of my kind...I have seen the way of the Wamphryie in a different light. The other Lords and Ladies have been vanquished....laid to rest at the hand of travelers and treachory of thier own spawn. I met a human of extraordinary powers and gifts...and I ~Lady Karen of the Wamphryie did something unheard of within my kind...I fell in love...~soft sigh as I walk away from you looking out the window into the cold starlite night~ My heart thawed and I saw error in my ways and allowed my spawn to be put down mercifully and those that still had the humanity about them...were released.
Of course there are still a few of my loyal that I could not allow to be touched....they remain because they choose to remain....I could no sooner desert them as I could leave my home here in Wraithstack.
Here on these pages I wish to tell you a bit about myself, my life, my loves, my children and my creations. There will be much you will never understand however if you inquire of me that which is difficult to comprehend...I will do my best to enlighten you ~soft smile as ~Lady Karen fades into the shadows~
