My name is Anne,although just about eveybody calls me Nanny.

I was born in Nanticoke, Pa. and reared in Mountain Top, Pa. I now live in Maryland.

I am the widow of a World War veteran, Air Force Sgt. I'm the mother of two, a daughter (Judy) and son (Clarence), the grandmother of five girls, and great grandmother of four boys.

For as long as I can remember I have loved to knit and crochet. I dreamed of owning my own shop.

My dream came true in 1979 when my late husband and I opened "Nannies Nook" in Mountainhome, Pa.a small resort town in the Pocono Mountains.

These pages are dedicated to my late daughter who shared my love for crocheting, dressing dolls, making toys and sometimes baby clothing. We spent many happy hours together doing this.

The credits go to my three nieces, Carol, Jo-anne, and Alberta, and to my granddaughter Lisa who encouraged me to do these pages and who are always there for me. Also to my son who repairs the computer as fast as I crash it.

To my internet friends Karenann and Pat who have held and guided my hand to get me this far.
