THE RECOVERY PAGE...

There are a lot of people out there who are lacking knowledge in regard to their well-being--
they lack education about their health (among other things...but we can deal with that, too).

We live in a highly stressful world. Some of us like to have "a little something" now and then, to get unwound from all the daily pressures of this highly stressful world we have to deal with, on a daily basis. The problem is, some of us cannot handle that "little something" any more successsfully than we do the stress! Then, there are those who live with the person who has this problem (trying to "unwind" with a "little something"). This becomes very problematic for those in EITHER dilemma (either, on the giving end or, the taking end of it). I know...I've been there...done that...and I had to find a better way. And that's what I did. And that's what I can help you to do...if you're ready to make some changes...yes, major changes...but, WE CAN do it. Are you ready to talk about it?

Self-Help/Support Groups are also available; simply look in your local phone book. You will find A.A. right at the front of the book (first page, under 'A'). Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.) is probably on the first page under 'N'. Emotions Anonymous (E.A.) can be found through the local A.A. office (just ask for E.A., when you call the A.A. number!). In fact, if you call your local A.A. office, they can give you the number for N.A., also. The A.A. office can also direct you--if you are a family member/loved one of a problem drinker/drug user--to support groups which help family members/loved ones cope with the problem drinker/drugger. Just pick up the phone, and dial....
