The Red Phone

When the red phone rings, the AT 2000 goes into action. Covertly created and financed by an international consortium of governments and wide-ranging private interests, AT 2000 represents the last line of defense against worldwide terrorism. A secured hi-tech computer line, the red phone accesses only terrorist activity already investigated and verified by - but beyond the grasp of - any one of a number of international police, special security, and military agencies, so its urgent signal raises the alarm on a clear and present danger - an explosive situation that only AT 2000 can defuse.

Headed by Quentin Forbes, the group is assembled from special units throughout the entire commonwealth of nations - the men and woman of AT 2000 are the very best in their respective specialities. But they are also renegades, marching to a different drumbeat of justice, one above and beyond the call of "regular duty". Forming what is, essentially, the first truly international police force, they employ wide ranging (although officially hidden) powers springing from a simple mandate - to track down, combat and defeat terrorism in all its ugly faces.

The heart of this new dramatic series lies in the life or death cases of AT 2000, most of them taken from actual case files. Its soul lives in its colorful and disparate characters - their public and private triumphs, failures, heartbreaks, joys and everything in - between.

Electrifying action / adventure set against the compelling human dramas of the men and women answering the call of THE RED PHONE.

"The Red Phone" is 2 telefilms. The first, "Manhunt" is being filmed in South Africa. When the world’s No.1 terrorist Van Eyck is contracted by the 'Cartell' to kill a leading European head of state during a high level G7 meeting in Southafrica, the AT2000 Team is sent in to prevent a blood bath with frightening political consequences...

The second, "Checkmate", is being filmed in Germany and Austria. Berlin, the capital of Germany, is facing a nuclear desaster if the AT2000 team can’t stop a group of political extremists from purchasing weapon-graded uranium from the Russian mafia. It’s a race against time...
sounds like a pilot to me ......Hmmmmmm!???

**May 31, 2001**Name of the team has been changed from AT2000 to AT13!

Arnold Vosloo Stars as "Wolf", head of investigations
Relentless, unpredictable and thrillingly versatile, this German abandoned GSG9 because there were too many rules. Freewheeling in the AT13 is his idea of living life on the edge.

February 7, 2003. Still remaining unseen on television, the first movie, "Manhunt" surfaces on DVD in Greece.

October 7, 2001. According to Patricia and Netti at The Joe Penny Zone, the film has been sold and will air next year (where?). Editing is currently underway to be sensitive to the recent terrorist attacks in the U.S.
