Such a joy to read. Words danced across each page and me right along with them. I'm not sure my feet touched the ground until the finale - ". . . What power I possess. I am a poet." Without a doubt, Frank Barone, you are the finest I have ever met. I strive to walk in your shoes.Rhythm & Blues -- the perfect title for poetry that sings from deep within the soul. The beginning, "Rhythm Seeker," is my absolute favorite "a seeker. . . hunter. . . gatherer. . .singer of songs" . . .
I felt the truth in every word Farrell shouted. Discovering his whispers in and around the street corners, I found myself seeking them out before they settled like silent snowflakes on the hot tarred streets. Sizzling. Exhilarating. Moving. Sad. I too am a Farrell Fan :) Thank you for the introduction.
What a great team effort. Encore please.

Farrell's poems are simple, but striking! My middle school students really like them. They say that they can understand what the poem means, but aren't intimidated by the poem itself. One boy said that your poems don't sound like "real" poems. They sound like some one who is talking to him. I took the statement as a compliment since this same boy stated that poems were all dumb and just for girls.
