      Welcome to the Teleproduction Association of Trinidad & Tobago; website.  On behalf of our Board of Directors and over 30 TpaTT members, we hope you find the information on this website to be useful and informative.  

     The Tpatt is a non-profit, all volunteer, networking and educational organization comprised of top production personnel working in television.  If you would like membership information or need assistance in staffing a new production, please fill out the appropriate forms on this website.  You can also reach us at the Tpatt Hotline at (868) 637-3246.

The Tele-Production Association of Trinidad & Tobago-Tpatt is an organization of skilled television professionals qualified to organize and supervise videotape and film productions.  The purpose of the Tpatt is to promote and encourage the continuing education and employment of its members. Through information sharing and high membership standards, the Tpatt strives to be a valuable resource within the entertainment industry. 

 

History 

The Tpatt was originally formed in 1983 to combat the erosion of traditional producer and associate producer functions on TV videotape and multi-camera film shows.  Since that time, the Tpatt has increased its membership dramatically and now represents the needs and concerns of over 30 members from seven different categories of TV production personnel.

 

Board Of Directors

The Tpatt Board of Directors has five elected members serving one year terms. All members are eligible to run for the board in elections held each June.  Monthly board meetings are open to any activemember.

    From The Vice-Chairman by Darrell Lou-Hing

As we start the new calendar year, finish the previous episodic season, enter the intense TV Pilot production arena, and anxiously await the network announcements about the 1998 Media Awards and this years TV schedule, I would like to take a moment and talk about the continuing effectiveness and strength of the Tpatt.   We are a viable and important industry organization.

Our Ranks are made up of nearly 30 highly skilled professionals, all guided by an exciting, energetic and knowledgeable Board of Directors.  It is an organization built upon the foundation of hard work by the numerous committees and their chairs, each one made up from our diverse membership base.

As your new Vice-Chairman I want to continue to build upon the success of the previous Tpatt leadership in making sure that we remain an organization with a powerful and visible presence in the television industry.

With such a large and diverse membership base it is always difficult to promote and encourage the continuing education, social gathering and sharing of information, and employment of our people.  But this is our goal, our mission statement.  We can keep our
high standards and meet our goals if we have a…Pro Active membership.

There are numerous ways to be Pro-Active…Join one of our committees, attend a board meeting, participate in one of our social/networking events, call our hotline with suggestions, help set up and attend one of our future seminars, let the people you work  for and with know about the Tpatt, write or supply an article for our newsletter, call other members or Board members with a suggestion or comment about the Tpatt… in other words GET INVOLVED.

I am and have always been interested by the stature of our organization.

WE ARE THE ONES THAT MAKE PRODUCTION HAPPEN.
