EPISODE 1, "Pilot"

The high school students start to board the bus. Alex (Nicholas Brendon) turns and glimpses over his shoulder to see Brandy (Sara Michelle Gellar) avoiding getting on the bus. He steps into the bus with thoughts of curiosity, followed by Jeff (James Van Der Beek), Alex’s best friend who seems to be aware of Alex’s curiosity. The two take a seat. It is noisy in the crowded bus, and the supervisors are very busy calming the sugar-high, caffeine guzzling teenagers down. They are completely absent-minded to the fact that Brandy has not boarded the bus. The driver shakes his head at the noise and pulls out of the driveway, leaving a close-up shot of Brandy looking on mysteriously.

A head-shot slowly zooms out to reveal Demented Brandy speaking to herself of her vile plan.

"I’m gonna finally KILL Alex," she smirks, "even if it means the life of his best friend and the whole science class!"

She gives out a brief cackle, then a body-shot of her side portrays her pulling a device out of her pocket. As the camera zooms it, the object is revealed to be a detonator for an explosive device.

"The bombs that I planted in the storage bin of the bus are going to kill everyone. And there’s no turning back now!"

The bus is seen riding off in the distance, as we hear Brandy ramble on. "Those bombs are ready to blow at the touch of a button!" She holds up the detonator to her chest maniacally and laughs.

Meanwhile, Alex and Jeff are talking to each other on the condemned bus.

"Why do you think Brandi ditched, Alex?" Jeff inquires as he looks over to Alex for an answer.

"Who knows with Brandi." Alex replies.

Demented Brandi has stopped her compulsive self-conversations, but instead, she is listening to Alex and Jeff’s conversation on a bugging device she conveniently placed in Alex’s backpack. She becomes extremely furious at their conversation and her psychotic personality overwhelms her.

"So, those guys want to contradict me, do they? Well, I’m not the blonde idiot they take me for. I’m gonna blow their freaking brains out, then we’ll see who has the last laugh! I mean, I’m not some bouncy ball that they can toy with! I have feelings to! But frankly, I don’t care anymore. I hope those guys all die!"

She dementedly begins cackling as she pulls out an antenna and pushes a big red button. She looks up.

The bus has made good progress. It is currently climbing a region of hills and mountains, all mixed into one terrain. Suddenly, the bus begins shaking.

"Whoa!" Alex and Jeff exclaim as the shaking forces them to brace themselves and grab their seats.

"Everyone stay calm!" The bus driver desperately yells, but her cry is smothered by the screams of all the frightened girls. The bus driver is frantic. And to make matters worse, the bus driver looks ahead of her to see something horrible. There is a sharp turn in the road, and a steep cliff positioned right behind it. The bus driver struggles unsuccessfully to get control of the wheel. On an outside view of the bus, the bottom of the vehicle blows up, rocking it wildly, almost turning over. A ball of fire springs outwards, then puffs up into the air. The explosion is quick, and immediately, fire begins to snap at the small bus windows. The bus goes out of control and jerks to the right, continuing to drag itself down the road, constantly nearing the bend in the road. Sparks wildly spray into the air as the side wheels tear off. A hubcap smash’s through a window and knocks a kid into the isles. Glass shatters and collapses all around the frightened students. The teenagers’ screams’ amplify as they try desperately to keep hold of their seats, hoping that the next second won’t be their last. The bend in the road is a mere several yards away. Alex and Jeff strain to hold onto their seats, but tragically, Jeff goes flying into the isles. Before Jeff has a chance to stand up, he slides down the isle to the front of the bus, slamming into the big metal dashboards. Drops of blood explode in all different directions. Alex screams.

"JEFF!" Alex tries to call out. In a twist of fate, the steering wheel proceeds to blow up. The explosion emits in big fireballs. Alex can literally feel fire on his face, as the flames consume the frontal half of the bus, just missing Alex. Alex gasps for air, having literally breathed heat, as a fire spreads savagely in front of him. Suddenly, a jerk throws Alex forward into his crisped seat. We see from an outside view that the sudden jerk was caused by the bus crashing into some picket fences. The bus violently plummets down a cliff, as we can see, right toward a rocky beach.
