MEREDITH’S HOUSE – NIGHT, A WEEK LATER

Meredith walks into her pitch black room, exhausted, searching for the light switch. Her hair is a mess, her eyes droopy and worn, her body and face in fatigue. She tosses her backpack off her shoulders and finally finds the light switch.

She flips it on to see roses covering every last inch of her room. In the center, Derek is kneeling with a piece of paper in his hand and he begins to read.

"My Dearest Meredith – The sun’s first glow over the hills and the horizon, and the deepest red of a lively rose, I see you and only you. Your skin so milky white and fair, your body so slender and lovely, I love you, and only you." Derek read the poem in his hand.

Meredith smiles, and wipes away a single tear from her cheek. "Derek, that’s so beautiful. No one has ever given me something so wonderful."

As if she owes it to him, Meredith runs into Derek’s arms. Derek sighs in relief, and in love, as he firmly holds Meredith in his arms.

Just as this happens, Devin opens the door and sees them.

RAVE PARTY – NIGHT

Jeff jumps violently in the middle of a large crowd of punks. Loud, blaring techno echoes off the walls as he head bangs with his hands in the air. Sweat trickles down his forehead, his now black hair is damp, and he chugs down a cup of tequila.

Strobe and color lights spiral and illuminate around Jeff. All he can do is scream and mosh. He is having the time of his life. He has never felt so fit in as he does now, as if this group is his family, that he can do anything with them or for them, and he can ask any favor of them.

"Hey Jeff!" One kid calls.

"Sup!" Jeff calls back. He is popular, even though it is in a group of misfits. Carter, from last episode, approaches Jeff.

"Hey, Jeff!" Carter yells through the loud yells of delight and the resonant music.

"Carter, wut up?"

"So me and the others decided that you’re in!"

"In what?" Jeff asks, jumping with a playful grin on his face.

"The Carter-Way Cult!" Carter smiles. Jeff responds by stopping dead in his tracks. His smile has been swept clean from his face. A cult? This was going too far!

"A Cult? I’m not cool with that man, count me out."

"O, c’mon, it’s not what is sounds like, dude! It’s just a group of friends to hang out and stuff!" Carter lies, sucking Jeff into a world of treachery that might mean him giving up his way of life.

Jeff thinks of it from Carter’s false point of view, and after a few minutes of consideration, nods. "Yeah, ok, count me in!"

"Cool!" Carter replies.

"Hold on, man, I gotta go to the bathroom!" Jeff says, flustered with thoughts, as he runs toward the bathroom…

MEREDITH’S BEDROOM - NIGHT

"What’s going on?" Devin furiously yells. As if systematic, Meredith and Derek fling themselves away from each other.

Devin sees the roses and the love letter and the hug, and immediately jumps to conclusions.

"Meredith, God! I thought we had something!" Devin yells, his heart on the verge of being shattered.

"I…I, don’t know what to say!" Meredith spills, speechless as to how to explain the predicament.

"I actually thought I was starting to fall in love with you!" Devin says. "What a waste of friggin’ time!" Devin yells, as he turns his attention toward Derek.

"And you!" Devin yells. "One of my best friends! You betrayed me, you lied to me, and I think you are a miserable piece of crap to do something so retarded!"

"You should have seen it coming Devin. You just can’t fulfill a girls needs."

"Oh, yeah, and you can only fulfill the needs of your best friends girl friend!" Devin snaps back.

"At least I do it right."

"You do nothing right!" Devin yells.

"This is getting old. But you know what? Your right about one thing, you did waste your time. Everyone knows that Meredith likes me and not you." Derek starts. Meredith looks at Derek with a disapproving smirk. "How could anybody like YOU. Every girlfriend you have seems to end up dead!" Derek snaps cruelly.

This remark sparks an anger of such great power in Devin, that he charges Derek. Devin tackles Derek, and they both go tumbling through Meredith’s bedroom window!

Meredith screams as glass shatters and Devin and Derek disappear out her window and down the 2 story journey to the ground…

ALEX’S BATHROOM – NIGHT

Alex walks into the bathroom, and starts to rinse his face with water from the sink. He is obviously about to go to bed. His face looks rugged and tired, dark circles under his eyes, his hair messy and wild.

Alex leans forward to splash some water in his face, and when he looks up, he sees Tristan’s reflection in the mirror.

"Hello, Alex." Tristan says. Alex turns around to see Tristan’s real face rather than his reflection, but there is no one behind him. He figures he is just tired and he is imagining things.

But when Alex turns back to the mirror, Tristan is still standing there, laughing evilly. "I’ll never leave you, Alex. You’re mine!"

"But your in jail!" Alex yells, upset and deeply disturbed, tears starting to well up.

"Hahaahahaha." Tristan laughs. "Fool. I am here with you! You are mine!"

"NO!" Alex cries, and he throws his fists into the mirror, making it shatter into hundreds of pieces. But Tristan’s voice resounds through Alex’s head.

"Imbecile! I’m never leaving you!!! You’re mine! Don’t you get it!" Tristan’s voice continues to laugh evilly and mockingly.

"NO!" Alex cries again. "What the hell is happening?"

TAYLOR’S HOUSE – NIGHT

Taylor and Amber are tonsil-tossing again. The kiss seems to last forever, and they seem to not want to stop.

As Taylor gently pulls away, he whispers, "I Love You."

"I Love You, too." Amber replies.

"I think after all these years, it’s time we went a step further." Taylor smiles.

"Taylor, if we go any further, we’ll be back at home plate!" Amber giggles.

"I know." Taylor says. Amber nods, lovingly looking into Taylor’s eyes. And the first sex scene in the history of Friends and Foes begins…

"Before we do, I think I should tell you something…" Taylor says, trying to explain that his therapist told him that he killed his father and has a long lost sister.

Amber purrs quietly, putting her forefinger over Taylor’s mouth. Taylor gives in and decides to tell her later. He gently and lovingly lays Amber down on her bed, kissing her. He slowly takes of his shirt, as Amber unbuttons hers.

Soon, they are under the covers, kissing gently as they make love. Taylor lays above Amber on top, swaying back and forth.

"I Love You so much!" Amber whispers. Taylor smiles and kisses Amber again, as they continue to make sweet lovin’!
