Kathleen moved to Los Angeles after graduating from high school in Colorado with the four lead characters. An icy relationship with Taylor's girlfriend Amber. Intending to become a nurse, she instead became a paramedic, and happened to be working the night Devin was fatally shot and Alex received a new heart. She offered to care for Alex during his rehabilitation, much to the dismay of his girlfriend, Candice.
